What do you do when becalmed?

What do you people do when becalmed (real or virtuel)?

I get nervous, but after a while start doing repairs and enjoy the fancy meals suddenly being cooked by the crew (when with crew).

I do everything exept the 2 last (I don't have Inmasrat ), and "other things" are in the first response.

First : do nothing... or fishing...
then : repair some stuff...
then... using time in any way
then... then... then... getting a little bit nervous (sh¤t, too slow, I won't have enough vine or beer for this trip )

Far from coast :
I go to sleep with the radar alarm on after wrapping sails.
Near the coast :
I push on engine button... I'll feel better un the neerest pub with a glass of beer !

I do not find the translation in French of "bacalmed". That must be "be calmed"= "se détendre" ?

This should be: When you have no wind, when you are in a accalmie? marasme? mévente? calme? I don't know the exact French word...

I think it is called in marin terms ... "petole" ...

Je réitrègre ma proposition a brainaid de faire un effort pour passer des messages en français.je lui rappelle que quand je vais dans les pays anglos ils ne font aucun efforts pour me comprendre ,a moi de m'adapter donc idem pour lui. Il n'empeche tout le bien que je pense de sa technique de conduire ses régates .Salutations

How long have we been parked? I only woke up about 30 minutes ago. Well at least I'm in third... the longer we have no wind, the longer I can enjoy a podium spot!

Just I may say that I can spend more time in the bed, and not necessary sleeping

... I can read a book as well
